NAME: Sam Rogers
CURRENT RESIDENCE: Bozeman, MT
MY RIDE: Polaris
I grew up in Cooke City, Montana with snowmobiles. My family was huge into snowmobiling. We rode snowmobiles to school, went on rides after school, and raced. From a very young age I was into being acrobatic. I fell out of my crib as a baby and broke my collarbone. When I was in elementary school I fell off a railing down 2 flights of stairs. Ok, so I got free falling down.
Naturally my brother and I got into snowmobile racing. First cross – country, then snocross. At home we'd go out and get footage with our cameras and my brother would edit them into little videos. We were our own version of extreme snowmobile riders back in the day. I really got a good taste for camera time from all that.
After our circuit retired, I set my sights on freestyle. I bought some ramps from SCS Racing and got into shows not long after that. My first huge show was the Red Bull Revolution on Machines at Red Square in Moscow. That was awesome. I got to meet all the best riders in the world and perform in Russia! Since then, I've been hooked doing my best to make a living off of what I love to do. It's not easy, but nothing worth doing is!
